About Sweet Honesty Arabians

Sweet Honesty Arabians is a small stud in East Gippsland, which began in 1981 with the purchase of AZTEX REBEL (Azzie), a stunning black tobiano pony stallion. Azzie proved to be a most influential Pinto Sire, producing many show champions.

Azzie sadly passed away at 25 years but his pre-potent bloodlines carry on through his daughter - Pt. Arab mare SWEET HONESTY CAMEO.

Currently SWEET HONESTY CZAR, (grandson of Azzie) is a beautiful young Arabian colt, standing his first season at stud at SWEET HONESTY ARABIANS.

SWEET HONESTY ARABIANS is committed to breeding quality Arabian derivatives, and continuing on the influential lines of the late AZTEX REBEL, combined with the very best Egyptian and Crabbet Arabian lines.

Sweet Honesty Czar's first foal on the ground
First linebred filly foal born 16-10-2007. Sweet Honesty Renee is the proud mum of this new baby. This filly will be offered for sale as a weanling. Enquiries welcome

Sweet Honesty Kalari recently sold
She has made her show debut most successfully, placing 2nd in Arabian Derivative Mare/filly class. A great achievement for her first show as a 3 year old against older and more experienced Arabian Horses.

Update on Kalari’s progress - She has made a stunning debut in the Show Ring (Arab derivative Class) placing second against more experienced mares. She is also doing well in dressage, having placed second in her first ever test. Her owner is thrilled with Kalari’s calmness and trainability. Kalari is very willing and well behaved.

Sweet Honesty Czar's second foal has arrived.   Madeline a big Thoroughbred mare foaled on 23rd February 2008 producing a stunningly marked chestnut colt.  All are very well, the colt has a blaze and two stockings front and hind on one side - very long legs to grow into. Sweet Honesty Reba (first foal by Sweet Honesty Czar) has sold and safely made her way to her new home in NSW.

Second colt foal by Czar - Madaahl is now 3 Months and is a stunning fellow - just waiting for a show home to buy him.

Exciting news - Czar's third foal arrived - a georgeous chestnut Pinto colt foal - a real cutie so well marked, he will mature galloway and will be ideal future show or stud prospect.

Special foaling down services available

• All mares accepted, very reasonable rates. Sweet Honesty Arabians offer 24 hr. full pregnant mare and foaling down midwifery service for any mares. My experience includes 26 years breeding. References from outside mares bought to me to foal down are available.
• Orphan Foals cared for.

Case History - 2006 a first time foaling mare owner, asked me to foal her mare down.  I knew when she was going to foal.  Midnight her waters broke, she went down but after the foals head appeared, Gretl was exhausted and was not able to push him any further.  As there is very little time to actually deliver or wait for the Vet, I had to manually manipulate his shoulders to deliver him. I broke the bag over his nose, clearing his mouth etc. and cleaning him up. He was able to get up and want to suck everything in sight but his mother.  She was a maiden mare, exhausted and not sure about him at all. After some hours the mare owner and I got him to suckle from his mom, then I called the Vet to check Gretl. He complimented me on the delivery as he would not have got there in time and it was likely Gretl and foal would have died.
