Zane Treloar, Event Director said, “The 2003 event was a huge success, with the move from Victoria Park Racecourse for dressage and show jumping to CBC Oval, and also making this a totally free event to the public.  This opens the event to the wider community, with all able to enjoy the world-class competition”.

“The new equestrian management group is looking forward to the 2004 event being an even greater success than in 2003 and building on our international reputation,” said David Lindh, Chairman, Adelaide Horse Trials Management Inc.

The Mitsubishi Adelaide International Horse Trials is the only ‘inner City equestrian event’ in the world and the only permanent CCI**** competition held in the Southern Hemisphere, of which there are only four are held annually in the world.

This year’s event will set the scene on the equestrian competition world, being the first qualifying event in Australia for the World Equestrian Games in Aachen, Germany 2006.

“The opportunity for South Australians to see horse and rider work as one to tackle fences and obstacles of the highest world standard should not be missed,” said Mr. Treloar.
